Composite Resin Bonding
Sculpting Your New Smile
Composite resin bonding is the process by which enamel-like plastic resin is bonded to the tooth’s surface, sculpted into shape, hardened with a light and polished. It can be colour matched to the original tooth colour, or a whole new coating can be placed on the front of teeth to lighten and whiten teeth.
Bonding is the gluing process by which the resin is attached to the tooth and is also the common method used to attach white fillings, veneers, crowns and bridges to your teeth.
Composite resin bonding is a very effective and affordable way of improving the appearance of teeth which are misplaced, discoloured or chipped and does not damage your teeth in any way as no tooth structure needs to be drilled to place the resin. Whole teeth or just small parts of a tooth can be covered with resin, and it’s amazing how small changes to tooth shapes and colour can make a big difference and really enhance a smile!
