 Joanne Davies, principal dentist

Joanne completed Dentistry at Sydney University in 1982 and after working in private practice, enjoyed 5 years invaluable dental experience and travel throughout England and Europe. On her return to Sydney she acquired the Macquarie University Dental Practice in 1992 and expanded into the current premises in Macquarie Park Business district in 2010, offering thorough quality dental care to the local community.

Joanne is passionate about patient education, believing all people should have the knowledge and skills to have excellent oral health for life. This shines through in her treatment of patients, as she always spends the time to ensure patients really understand what’s going on with their mouths and deliver high quality treatment always.
Her particular interests lie in preventive, restorative and cosmetic dentistry and in providing thorough, caring and affordable treatment for her patients.

She regularly attends professional development courses to stay up to date and introduce modern techniques to the practice. In 2017, Joanne is undertaking post graduate studies in sequential aligner therapy (Invisalign) as well as further education in the area of Implants.

Joanne also liaises with Macquarie University Hospital in the area of oral health assesssment.
It is now well understood that poor oral health is a major risk factor in many disease, such as cardiac issues, so this is an essential service as part of a patients overall health screening.

Joanne spends her time away from dentistry enjoying life with her husband and three adult children, keeping fit and pursuing her creative side with artistic and interior decoration projects.
